What is The Positive Discipline Empowered Youth Forum?
The Forum is organized by Oasis International School students, where students worldwide can communicate and solve their problems related to different topics, including stress, integration, time management, and day-to-day challenges.
When is The Positive Discipline Empowered Youth Forum?
In October, the Forum will start with an Opening Ceremony to gather all the participants, either virtual or face to face, and explain to them how the work will be organized throughout the year, followed by four online sessions in November, December, February, and March where students will discuss topics, selected through vote via an utterly transparent platform to share their problems comfortably.
In June, a two-day conference will be held before the closing ceremony to combine all of the solutions proposed over the sessions, creating renewed and adapted Positive discipline activities. All the material produced throughout the workshop will be shared with the American Positive Discipline Association leaders.
Who can participate in The Positive Discipline Empowered Youth Forum?
Participants form year 4 to year 11 and they will be divided into 4 committees according to age group. The aim of these sessions is to find together adequate solutions for each topic.
What will you learn in The Positive Discipline Empowered Youth Forum?
How to effectively communicate with your peers and come up with constructive and creative solutions. You will gain a wide range of skills: complex problem solving, critical thinking creativity, leadership, organization, emotional intelligence, decision making, etc.
